A recent survey of 38 prominent economists found that only one said the tax bill would significantly increase growth, and all 38 rejected the claim that the tax cut would pay for itself.

Trump campaigned on a tax cut focused on the middle class and if taxes need to be raised on the rich to make it happen, so be it. Now we have guarantied tax cuts for the rich and working people wondering if or how much they will be hurt. Trump wins the “pants-on-fire” ward for this one. But he might get to prance around like a peacock as if he accomplished something.

We have known for 25 years that “trickle down” and cutting taxes on the rich DOES NOT WORK for the economy. The American people did not want this “tax reform.” We know who does, and who paid for it.

As the deficit balloons and wages fall their response will be to cut Medicare and Social Security which has been their long-term plan all along.

I can’t decide if this is Trump’s agenda of Revenge on the American people or is it Putin’s version of Revenge on the American people?

Of course, the House and Senate compromise committees have to work out the differences between the two versions of the “Republicans Rape America To Give More Money To The Rich Bill” before voting on the final version.

Republicans have been trying to destroy Social Security and give all the tax dollars to the wealthy since the 1930’s. Wake up and move on.

Not funny or practical. We have to learn to live together, there is only one earth.

The best weapon that a middle class working stiff has is to vote the Republicans out of office. Anyone tells you they’re not voting. Get in their face, don’t let them slide.

@I’M OFF can’t even lie very well. But the Republican propaganda machine has convinced a lot of people that the ACA was rushed through (introduced Sept 17, 2009. Signed into law March 23, 2010. Countless hearings. Some Republican amendments. No illegible hand-written changes stuck in hours before the vote. But it was rushed through in the dead of night. Right).

The is Republican regular order now, they won’t mind it until the Democrats are elected. Then they’ll whine a pout and throw a tantrum.
