Judging from the “Le Monde”, “Chat” and “Chien” posters, I would say they are in French class and this spelling test was in French. I suppose that even though Lizzie is having her own personal pity party, it doesn’t stop her from spelling well in French. I am still interesting in seeing how her English essay with all the "very"s did with the English teacher.

In the meantime I am pleased to see that Elizabeth has finally met that friend who will meet the qualification of “friend” that Dawn Enjo does not meet. Dawn and the newly-introduced Candace Halloran. What is the difference between them in the eyes of Elizabeth? It’s so hard to tell.

I assume it isn’t a grammar test based on this dialogue.

How did Elizabeth prepare for it, aside from her repetitive paragraph a few strips back? Suppose that “very” was one of the words on the test. :)

Luck had nothing to do with it.

See, Elizabeth? There is nothing wrong with you. Now make friends with that girl and be nice to your existing friends.

Wanna know just how well you really are? Just take time to look around you and study what you see

Good grades are the result of studying not luck. I hate it when someone attributes what I have to luck instead of hard work and sacrifice.

Like many, I check back to see if my comments have triggered other comments. Lately, I have found those comments missing. Today, the entire threads that stimulated the comment are missing (discussion of donut box architecture in Drabble and Elizabeth’s “very” paper in French here). What is going on?
