Someone gives Sluggo the elbow! It nearly knocks his hat off!

I love the strips that show Sluggo’s hat airborne.

On Monday morning, Sluggo will have his hardball and a three-star black eye that he gave to himself to show to the class.

In Bushmiller strips, ★★★ usually signifies pain + consciousness and I think ★★★★★ is a knockout .

The workman’s shirt looks itchy to me and he’s wearing one of Sluggo’s hats!

Sluggo should have known not to try to put one over on Mario.

Men in overalls used to walk the streets carrying pipe. Sweet!

Sluggo just learned a painful lesson in assumption!

Sluggo is hit.

Karma strikes.

Clearly Ernie didn’t know anything about physics. Compare the energy of the ball going into the pipe with the energy of it coming out. I’ll only go so far suspending my disbelief when it comes to comics and this crosses the line! I don’t watch Road Runner cartoons for the same reason!

Well, nobody else has said this yet, so I’m going for it:

Ha ha! Sluggo threw a baseball and now he is getting hit in the face! He should not have thrown that baseball!!

Time also is warped. How did Sluggo get around the fence so quickly? And why doesn’t My Comics’ spelling app recognize “Sluggo?”

That’s going to leave a mark….

You have to admit; they worked hard for a laugh back then!

There may be a lesson here about throwing things at other people.

That is some delay.
