Interesting dichotomy here.

Frustrated aging white guys who feel powerful sexually harass women (and sometimes girls).

Frustrated aging white guys who feel powerless take their guns and blow away nursing homes, music concerts, movie theaters, and schools.

Accusations alone do not a perpetrator make. Proof (not he said/she said) is kind of important.

I wonder how many of the guys who apologized are kicking themselves for owning their behavior. Unless there are groping photos or a stained dress (Hi, Al, Hi, Bill) all you have is a shouting match.

I will offer one item that helps tip the scale.

On one hand you have public figures who have been whispered about (or shouted) for decades. Rumors swirling, “everyone knows”, bubbling just below the surface, etc, etc.

On the other, you have public figures who are accused out of the blue for a decades old incident at a critical political moment, after decades of zero “public” hint of impropriety.

For each accusation, step back from your politics and put on your unbiased thinking cap. If the accuser lacks concrete physical evidence, do the the circumstances surrounding the timing of the accusation have meaning beyond the accusation itself.

There is someone new every day. And Trump is always on that list of sexual predators. His lawyers are fending off law suits, because the president can’t do anything wrong – even if they sexually assaulted someone before they were president. Unless they were a Democrat.
