Even with the sunglasses, that’s a pretty intimidating I.C.E. officer.

I like Mr Rod’s stance, he is bigger than the ICE guy and had his arms across the chest giving the meaning I am not listening and not budging.

Not ICE but state liquor cops. I go into the liquor store and 3 guys like this have a girl who works there in a corner badgering her. They have guns, so I didn’t say anything but what brave AH’s!!! Turns out it was the owner who sold the kid the booze. They make them up to look like 30 for the sting. State makes extra dough that way. I heard that 40% of ICE is Hispanic. I find that sad.

I love Baldo, but HATE it when Cantu and Castellanos portray federal officers as gangsters. Any group of thousands of people is going to have some bad apples, but these guys ALWAYS hype the hysteria. The issue is serious and real, and picking one side is dishonest and – by the way – politics in a comic strip is chicken-sh— and spoils what would otherwise be a great work.

What does illegal mean to you? To me it means someone who is breaking the law.

The ICE officer didn’t question Mr. Rod any further and took his word. No requests for IDs or other proof. Could it be he felt he had to look tough but was actually hoping he could just leave without arresting anyone?

Wait, Is Baldo illegal? Why he sweating? I’m from South Florida and this never happens at stores. Is this a West coast thing? Or just for the comic?

I thought Baldo was born here. In fact, I thought so had Sergio.
