Does Rick’s doctor know that when 110 deceased musicians were examined, 100% showed signs of hearing loss?!?!?!

“What? Did you say something? I couldn’t hear you because I’m a musician.”

Don’t worry, Gil, Mimi will prepare one of her giant salads and make it all good again.

And let’s not forget that four out of five dentists recommend sugarless gum for their patients who chew gum.

Uncle is right. The kid should end up with a brain like Ozzy’s or Keith’s, for God’s sake!

In all reality The thump, thump , thump of basketballs bouncing on the highly polished hardwood of Milford’s gym floor along with the squeaks of gym shoes making cuts is getting louder . A dramatic wrapup to the football is coming !

P1, Do you realize how uncomfortably close to me you are, big brother?

P2, I bet you’re more brain damaged than any of them, Uncle Tonoose.

P3, Good thing basketball season is almost here then, Gil.

The 111 brains examined had all submitted because brain injury was suspected. No brains were examined where there was no suspicion of injury. Football is not safe, but the ‘statistics’ by uncle Creepy are bogus.

Gary Unmarried brings up a study involving former NFL players. Ric is a fictitious kid playing for a fictitious school. I had my first concussion as an 11 year old due to a defective helmet. I didn’t play again until freshman year of high school. Suffered another concussion as a sophomore, finished the game. As a youth coach, I do not recall a concussion case on our teams. Like to think teaching proper blocking and tackling technique enhanced safety verses the way I tackled. Poor GilPa. With Ric out, the playbook got smaller, whatever that means. No dropback passes for Mike Filion with a 2nd string left tackle.

A brain injury storyline is certainly a reasonable topic. Too bad Rubin has written it in the most annoying way possible.

“Mrs. Soto, playing football does not lead to brain damage! Why, I myself played football all through high school and college and I… OK, not the best example.”

Oh the irony when it turns out the concussion has permanently destroyed his ability to carry a tune.

Yes we all know that it’s safer to be a entertainer/singer. What could happen there?

Ok, the team medic(?) didn’t say what Ray wanted so he demanded a Doctor, the Doctor didn’t say what Ray wanted so now we’re at a Concussion Specialist. Anybody wanna bet on Ray’s reaction when Rick is cleared for the “silly game”?

Yeah, I agree with Soapysmith. A topical story, but done in the stupidest way. They could have written it so that it involved someone really getting a concussion, and dealing with potential health issues, instead it’s this dumb “try to convince them he has a health issue that doesn’t exist so he can be the next American Idol.” And speaking of convincing, I hope I don’t have to do much convincing to get you to check out today’s Mopped Up Thorp.

Perhaps Uncle No-Job has some sort of brain injury, based on the looks of his right eye in P2.
