You all wanted to know what could possibly go wrong with TJ taking Brad to the mall?

“SQUANDER MALL” LOL! and I thought T.J. was going to do something smart…….. I guess not. that’s what separates the married men from the single boys.

Here’s how T.J. can help: by not helping at all!

TJ truly needs a woman to shake him up and bash sense into him. He is pure nonsense.

Brad – now is a good time to lose Teej in the mall…

I believe that TJ is just being facetious and having a little fun.

Just call TJ “Darth Mall”.

At least Brad is smarter than he was as a teen, he knows Toni won’t like these sleazy gifts.

All malls should be required to incorporate “Squander” in their name.

I think that buying Toni a session at a spa would be an ideal gift. They are available at a modest price and Toni would feel pampered. ;-)

Here’s the deal. Toni is planning a huge surprise for Brad at home. She has stepped out to go fetch the trappings of whatever it is. TJ is in on the surprise, and has drawn Brad out of the house to stall him while Toni sets up.

Why oh why is Brad even taking relationship advice from this guy? The last girl Ol’ Rictus Grin was seen chatting up was Luann, that time he thought it’d be funny to harass her. Brad’s married to the hottest woman in town and she’s totally devoted to him, so I think he’s got things well in hand. Taking TJ’s advice on wooing women is like Aly Raisman taking gymnastics tips from Michael Moore.TJ should instead spend his time trying to figure out why the only person besides Brad who can stand being around him is a six-year-old girl.

There’s only one d—- that Toni is interested in. And it’s not one she has to paint, or one that’s always smiling.

Is there going to be a big gift or not? I bet not, but the journey on the way is going to be surprising and hilarious. And for the TJ haters you ever have a nutty, but good-hearted friend you could always depend on, no matter what? Hmmm, maybe not.

This morning’s pipe and coffee break commentary:

1. I believe TJ is just messing around with Brad here. TJ is smarter than that and knows that gift is rather tacky and not what Toni would like. So, I think TJ is just having fun trying to initially bug Brad.

2. I am sort of hoping this scene today is being used as a bit of time filler…. so that in the story arc, there is now enough time to have Brad happen to notice/observe Toni at the mall as well.

3. If Brad and Toni are at the mall at the same time and Brad sees Toni…. it could be leading to a) an “awkward encounter” between the two of them where we see both of them with “bigger” gifts than was suggested by a "simple celebration, or b) (more intriguing to me) where Brad sees Toni in the distance and she is talking with someone (some suggested Dirk, but it could be a variety of folks) and Brad misconstrues the interaction into something it is not. Of course, if “b” happens, I think Greg will have it all work out in the end, but it could be an interesting run to see how the story pans out.

4. It looks less and less likely that Shannon will show up in this particular Broni sequence. I wonder if she will end up showing up before Christmas or not? I would tend to think it is still likely that she shows up in some fashion nearer that time.

5. Squander Mall is a delightfully creative name! It is odd to think how 30-40 years ago I was saddened how malls were eliminating most traditional downtown types of shops. Now, I am saddened at how on-line shopping is leading to the elimination of many malls. Even though I realize the economics make these changes happen, I wish we could maintain all three…. downtowns with shopping, malls, and on-line. But, that is only a pipe dream.

“Squander Mall”, eh? I thought it was closing and shuttering up just like so many other malls! Ah, people still ‘squander’ money on stuff no matter when – like they’ve always done!

I’m betting this gag – a cute one from G and K – works better this way than Teej and Brad shopping online! :)

As much as some may hate it, Brad continues to want TJ to be his friend. And TJ actually wants to help Brad. Whether this is actually good for Brad is my question. Time will tell.

Yes Brad by all means please increase your debt load since you borrowed so much money for the college you didn’t attend, and therefore can’t afford to rent the miserable little house next door to your parents place.

Knowing TJ, he may be planning a celebration already. Maybe he is just trying to get Brad out of the house so Toni can fix a gift w/o him there.
