Trump dragged down GOP candidates, now Republicans face a wrenching call. Do they run with or away from Trump? The suburbs rebelled against Trump, and threaten the Republicans in Congress. So what will the right do? Double down on Trumpism or move back to elitist GOP politics?
I cannot remember which congressman said that his donors told him that if he didn’t get the tax bill passed by December do not even worry about ever getting any more donations from the donor. If this is the kind of pressure the Republicans are under it’s no wonder a lot of them are going to retire. It’s become an all-or-nothing proposition for politicians. Sell the devil your soul or retire!

They lost because they didn’t follow Trump’s example and appeal to the Fine People!

Oh puh-leeze, most Republican candidates don’t need Trumpety Dump to blame for losing. They’re doing that quite well on their own inadequacies.

A lot of Republicans are announcing their retirements ahead of the indictments.
