A friend graduated college on the six (seven?) year plan. Finally got a good job, and bought the motorcycle he always wanted. So we called all the wrecking yards ‘til we found the previous year’s model in the same color. I asked if I could take his new bike around the block. Years later, any time now, he is going to laugh at that joke.
I heard a similar joke. It would relate to this as “My wife took the car around the block” “When did she leave” “Twelve Fifteen” “That’s only a few minutes” “No, Twelve Fifteen as in December Fifteenth, two days ago”
