I’ve done a few strange things in the name of the culinary arts, but cheese on apple pie? Ewww!!

It’s wonderful! No worse than chocolate and peanut butter.

I don’t understand this fixation of cheesing other foods. For some fairly tasteless foods like macaroni, cheese is a must, but apple pie?? Even ice cream just adds some sugar and creme but cheese takes over the taste. Better to just eat the cheese over toast.

Hey folks, I’ve been around for over 70 years, and I remember people eating their apple pie with a slice of cheese from when I was a kid.

I’ve always done that… put cheese on my apple pie. I use a good cheddar cheese and warm the pie and cheese until the cheddar is nice and soft. It’s no different than people who have some cheese and fruit with a glass of wine.

Apple pie without the cheese is like a hug without the squeeze!

My grandfather always had a bit of cheese with his apple pie.

I used to own a tavern and a couple came in one evening after being to the Moose Club and ask if I had some apple pie. Then ask if some way I could melt some cheese on it, so I turned my grill on and set the pie on a plate then put some cheese on top ,covered it and let it melt slightly. I never had it before so I tried it and it was good!
