I wondered if Schrödinger’s cat was in the box.

As to cat navels, all placental mammals have one but with all the fur who could notice.

Today’s fire disaster update: the fire rages on. 30 fire departments now involved. After 6 million gallons of water were taken from the hydrants the reservoirs went temporarily dry and they had to start tanker relays from the nearby Ohio and Little Kanawha rivers. I am glad I don’t get my drinking water from downriver. The Ohio river must be getting toxic from the runoff. The fire will take a week to get put out they estimate. It cost $300,00 so far and will cost $60,000 a day to continue. The county government is broke. The smoke is so bad (EPA says breathing it is ok) that school is closed, the federal government closed down a major local department of the Treasury, city government closed and local companies are ending their workers home. The lawyers are starting to gather.

Just heard a water main broke downtown. Now we have a boil water advisory. And it goes on…
