My older daughter has some CDs that have “explicit language”. I’ve borrowed some of them. Most of it isn’t bad, but one artist I didn’t care for. It wasn’t that she used the “F-word”, but her attitude. She sang like, “I’m using this word and don’t care what you think because I’m edgy” as opposed to any real context. I’m not explaining it right,
The first time I heard that word in a song was from a Joni Mitchell album, “Blue”, from 1970. I don’t remember the song title. And the Jefferson Airplane had some explicit language on the “Volunteers” album. The cd of “The Doors” has some explicit language that isn’t on the LP that came out in 1967.

LOL! Jason, you might want to listen a little harder to the words—-on second thought maybe not.

I know this strip is 11 years old, but it’s still as funny now as it was then!

Then there’s “Bodies” by the Sex Pistols. Oh, what am I saying? Pretty much ANYTHING by the Sex Pistols.

Oh! Fug!! There’s another man who can’t spell that word. (With apologies to Dorothy Parker)

Peter: “It’s a bad rap!”

The most surprising (to me) use of that word in music I ever heard was in a Billy Joel song called “Laura.”

Peter’s mom is like me. I won’t put up with some child having his or her mind corrupted with using bad words!

I always thought that Peter was a Springsteen fan.

Peter must be listening to an Irish Rock Band.
