why doesn’t one of those guys just make a fake one out of cardboard, paint it red(in honor of t-rump’s bff putin) and let little hands play with that. t-rump will never know the difference.
Then the day care handlers watched as the president threw his pre-nap fit “I want nukeys!! I want nukeys!!” he screamed as they played paper-rock-scissors to see who was going to change his diaper.
Mr Sherman said: “I just want to put into context a conversation that I had with a very prominent Republican today, who literally was saying that they imagine General Kelly and Secretary Mattis had conversations about if Trump lunged for the nuclear football, what would they do?
“Would they tackle him? I mean literally, physically restrain him from putting the country at sort of a perilous risk, and that’s the kind of situation we’re in.”
Sen. Markey introduced S.200 – Restricting First Use of Nuclear Weapons Act of 2017. It has 9 co-sponsors. One tenth of the Senate is interested in preventing global catastrophe from being started by one person. In the House, Representative Lieu’s companion bill, HR 669, has 58 co-sponsors, or about 13% of the House.
A GOP senator slammed President Trump on Wednesday night for his repeated threats to revoke the licenses of television networks over negative coverage.Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse questioned whether Trump was upholding his presidential oath to protect the constitution by making the threats on the media.
“Mr. President: Words spoken by the President of the United States matter,” Sasse said in a statement.
“Are you tonight recanting of the oath you took on January 20th to preserve , protect, and defend the First Amendment?”
The statement caused reaction from former presidential candidate Jeb Bush who retweeted the remarks in a show of support.
Trump had tweeted earlier on Wednesday night “Network news has become so partisan, distorted and fake that licenses must be challenged and, if appropriate, revoked.”
His missive came after he vehemently denied an NBC News report that he asked to dramatically expand the US nuclear arsenal.
Never; the VP and a majority of the Cabinet have to agree, and they’re mostly suck ups like Putz or cowards. If they fail, he’ll nasty-tweet them to death.
If my understanding of missle launch procedure is even loosely accurate, then we’re in luck, folks, because there is no “button,” per se. What Lyin’-Donnie-of-the-Double-Digit-IQ would have to do is read a series of sealed launch codes to a missileer. And as we all know, the dope’s attention span isn’t long enough for that even if he can read the things.

One can only hope that some of the responsible ones in the WH have taken the batteries out of that football.
