Gee, Carmen (and Scott) has no clue about what they are protesting — only that they are dishonoring the flag.

Maybe Carmen (and Scott) believes that there is no police brutality and no such thing as being stopped for DWB.

Football players are often released from a team not just for poor performance, but also private behavior. They often have morality clauses which can get them fired for “personal conduct reasonably judged by Club to adversely affect or reflect on Club, then Club may terminate this contract.” It would appear that they forfeit their right to free speech when they sign a contract. What I find amazing are the number of “constitutional conservatives” who vehemently defend the Second Amendment, but demand that football players have no right to First Amendment rights.

I understand.

Carmen is being willfully ignorant because she can’t drive.

One more time: THEY AREN’T PROTESTING THE FLAG, THE ANTHEM, OR THE TROOPS.

They are protesting the fact that cops kill unarmed black people, and nothing happens to them, no matter how clearly unjustified it is.

It is a shame that marginally-educated football players can be persuaded to protest the 5-10 wrongful police shooting per year while ignoring the welfare-state policies that lead to literally-thousands of ghetto murders.

How many people are actually wrongfully murdered by the police in a year?

I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it

I found it interesting that while our Dear Leader has been so vocal about the disrespect shown by NFL players taking a knee during the playing of our national anthem he feels it is perfectly alright for him to remain seated and joke about TV ratings while the flag was being lowered and “Retreat” was played at a military base this past week.

Its reprehensible that Stannis uses a black character to espouse views that are antithetical to the interests of black people. Its a shameful misuse of artistic license but I suppose that’s his “hook”. THAT is something I hate but will defend his right to do.

On the one hand, I love the people of my country and honor their lives. I even get mad if I see a cop shooting someone in the middle of the street without even having committed a crime. On the other hand, I am a free speech absolutist. That means everybody has a right to state his or her opinion. even if I disagree with what they are saying. I hate what is happening to them, but love that they can speak up about it.

It’s good to remember that Trump bigly admires the former head of the KGB — if the kneeling happens when America is bigly Great Again, the kneelers will be imprisoned or found mysteriously dead.

And there ain’t gonna be none a that fake news about it, neither. The official version will be the only one.

SCOTUS says no. They do not have the right. Not while they are at work.
