Getting the roads cleared and passable would be a big help.

With all the warning they had in advance, FEMA should have been on top of it. Oh, wait, Trump wanted to finish the agency off after some 400 were already driven off. The Navy and miitary assistance should also have been on board. Let’s hope this isn’t Trump’s Katrina, but rather his Little Bighorn.

By using a mule to pull the cart I assume that Lisa, as usual, is trying to blame Democrats. In this instance, she should simply be blaming the capitalist system she is so enamored of.

How delightful. A political offering that actually points to the root problem instead of blaming it on Trump, on FEMA or on any other imagined point failure.

Ida, you mean like Texas and Florida? Or Louisiana and Mississippi in the past? Or FEMA and the military and the US government aware a forceful hurricane was headed for the Island and did nothing to prepare in advance and little to help for several days, after?

The military (and thereby, I presume, FEMA) have helicopters capable of moving equipment the size of a tank or a bus. Moving a container of emergency supplies to a remote area should be the work of hours, not days — if anyone cared enough to send the very best.

Puerto Rico’s transportation system was set up like that on purpose by the US government. If we wanted to get hurricane aid to them faster, we would have to act. We don’t, so we won’t. Thanks Republican’ts!
