Well, Michael has a point. You can metaphorically remember the veterans from the inside, but physically inside due to the rough weather is another matter.

A few minutes in cold weather is much, much less of a sacrifice than many who fought and died for us gave, and is little to ask. ‘All gave some, some gave all..’ A salute to the brave men and women who stepped up before, and continue to step up, to protect the freedoms of the rest of us…

Interesting shade of puce they’ve come up with for Lawrence’s complexion. Someone needs to tell the colorists that he is Hispanic. Their skin has no overtone of purple in it.

I had a friend who was one of the Frozen Chosen – a U.S. Marine survivor of the Chosin Reservoir in Korea. He vowed that, when he got out of the Corps, he’d never be that cold again.

He lived and worked for the remainder of his life in South Florida !

The veterans would probably prefer to be remembered inside too.

I like the way Lawrence calls it “the war” as if there have been no veterans since then. Is that a common thought for Canadian kids?
