“Trust” is a tough vocabulary word in Leslie’s dictionary.

What a contrast between the positive and negative aspects of his life. I hope he clues in as to which people are the ones he should protect.

Dang things went fast. Unrealistically fast.

We are not given details for a reason.

It’s a little late to be asking if you trust him.

Tables set up…gambling?

Ann isn’t offering much in the way of positive reinforcement.

Everything is set for a “We trust you Les” redemption story, especially with Nancy’s compliment earlier.

Same old Ann Awful.

Ohhh…I can’t look! A betrayal and a broken heart coming!

Interesting. Nancy and Pru have shown Les that they DO trust him.

Ann, in contrast, is asking Les IF she can trust him. The latter shows some doubt, which Les could take as a subtle insult.

My bet is solidly on the first horse. I think that Les is going to betray his mother, in favor of his Fuse family.

Les has been stealing and backstabbing for centuries, no matter who trusts him or how nice they are.

There are no window shades. Who is going to be the character that gets a broken leg from trying to look in while standing on top of a garbage can?

Armageddon is going on. And the moment of reckoning is creeping closer!

Damn we have a respected Senator, Bob Corker saying Benito (45) is pointing us toward WWWIII, and we have a beloved comic strip about to go toward a comic strip version, or at least we are traveling upward on the roller coaster, but not at the first sudden downward dip yet. As another poster said before, “here we go”!!

Can she trust him? Sure, as soon as things get going, he should have the cops waiting around the corner. Just in case…

I guessed gambling way back then. I think Ox is going to help Les decide. Like a real friend. And Les will give Ox back some of the money he stole.

Speaking of taking bets: I’ll wager that at some point when the party is raging, a legitimate Cafe Kablooie employee/owner will have forgotten something at work, walk in, and see what is actually going on.

Ok, Pru is gone. It’s time for Awful to bring in the male strippers for her ‘lingerie’ party.

I think it’s going to be a surprise wedding with Tiffany’s rich Dad to Ann Eiffel. Then Les and Tiffany will be step siblings.

Instead of “In Les We Trust” shouldn’t it be “We Trust In Les Less”?

Now yesterdays strip makes sense. He was feeling like the debris on the table until Nancy told him he was part of the “family”. Now he may have some conflicts concerning his loyalty.

Mr Gray is the wild card in this plot. If things do get out of control it will fall on Mr Gray’s responsibility for Les’ actions. Frankly, I’d like to see Les somehow turn into a hero when all is said and done. We shall see!

Hmm. Not a whole helluva lot to add. Except perhaps… Pru is presuming a lot in terms of Ann.

To coin a phrase, “Trust, but verify.”

Truly like mom and son. Observe the twin flips in the back of their heads.

So anyone going to take a guess as to which building code or illegal activity Ann’s party is going to break? (Also, what state does LUANN take place in? There may be some laws that protect property owners from what a renter may do with their actions.)

Meanwhile back at the dorm room…..

We could be another 2 weeks just getting to the party.

Can anyone honestly trust Les and Ann? They’re both up to no good.

What is it that we really want to see?

Les rehabilitated?

Mildly interesting.

We are missing the obvious.

We all would like to see Ann Eiffel totally humiliated by TJ.

As soon as he learned of Ann’s reappearance, TJ started preparing.

All Ann has to do is open one overhead cabinet behind Kafe Kablooie’s counter to have 3000 ping pong balls fall out all caught on a live webcam.

At first I thought they might be selling fraud health insurance policies, but late at night?

I am reminded to never, ever, ever bring up any political anything, even if only to make a point about Luannverse itself. Sorry about doing that, whatever one believes is there right or wrong. As far as Luannverse though, hold on!!! Is my point. Plus I think it will both be a unifying arc, while creating new arcs point as well. BOOOM!!!

Why do I have the feeling she means gaming tables. that is going to be an illegal casino.

Possible scenario #263: AE & TJ made up a while ago – unknown to us. TJ is now poised to collect insurance after the Fuse burns down the night of the party. AE & Pru & Les get a cut and take off for parts unknown.

If /when Les discovers what’s really going on with his mom’s “lingerie parties”, does he:

a) confront Ann about it and wants a cut of the action

b) confronts Ann about it and threatens to rat her out unless she stops

c) tell Pru or Nancy his suspicions

d) sabotages the event

e) does nothing but fume in resentment

So I see Ann Eiffel’s skill in manipulating people is more of an Informed Ability. Because it seems to me that if you need your son’s help with something and they already think you’re a scumbag for abandoning them, being an impatient demanding jerk to them might not solidify their loyalty to you. Honey catches more flies than vinegar, after all. But I guess when seduction is the only tool in your arsenal, you come up lacking in a situation when it can’t be used.

Tables? Gambling!

Speak of the Devil, indeed! What two more contrasting mother-figures than Nancy vs. Ann E.??!!

This much we can say: a “Lingerie Party” would seem not to require having tables set up in advance (indeed, not at all). Several commenters have suggested gambling as an alternative, befitting Annie Awful’s shady character. Could be; even if only an illegal bingo game for Older Ladies with a big-time Gaming Habit (and don’t be misled; bingo is big-time gambling). But Leslie has had a double dose of positive reinforcement just now, from Nancy and Pru. Could it be enough to make him do The Right Thing in defiance of his crummy mother?

I would like Evanses to introduce Marvel, who would be Eiffel’s identical twin sister and was all goodness and love. She will show up at the lingerie/gaming party and blow everything up, metaphorically speaking, of course.

Who shows up first?

Somebody shows up tomorrow or we have a boring day of watching tables being set up.

Do the guests start to arrive and are they to be let in before Ann.

Does the “lingerie” arrive by seperate truck. (Both driver and helper appear to have fallen off of the back end of a classic Universal Horror movie.)

Does Mr. Gray show up.

Or does Ann Eiffel get there first.

I’ve always been bothered by the fuse uniforms. Why does Leslie’s shirt have a collar and Pru’s doesn’t? Is it because it’s a woman’s shirt? I always figured they would be the same tho, just because its a uniform

If you have to ask if you can trust someone, you can’t — even if you should.

I wonder where his loyalties lie? I wonder if he will be loyal to anyone other than himself? Interesting turning point has been constructed.
