    I don’t know about toxic, but there’s a lot of medical studies that eating soy products decreases testosterone and raises estrogen. I don’t know how it works, but it’s probably not good.

    Soy has high levels of phytoestrogens (plant hormones that mimic estrogen in the human body). While soy might be a nice natural way to help menopausal women with menopause symptoms caused by the major reduction in estrogen production, it isn’t necessarily good for the rest of us. Pregnant women, especially, should avoid tofu and ALL other soy products, as you just dont know how extra estrogen/phytoestrogen will effect the unborn baby (hormones are a big deal in triggering developments in fetuses). I’d also avoid soy if you have a family history of breast cancer (just in case)
