    At least in CA they got rid of gerrymandered districts. The GOP lost fair and square. Without voter suppression you need good ideas to win elections.

    I do believe the voters are war weary from the severe partisanship. Perhaps having representatives that apolitically represent their district’s best interests instead of just cloning candidates that pass the party “purity” test might help?

    I still think mandatory voting would be the best way to represent the country. Get rid of gerrymandering. And if it couldn’t all be paper ballots mailed in at least it could be maybe digital voting but that could get hacked I suppose. But paper ballots couldn’t be hacked in their own way can’t they. I suppose there’s no Surefire way. I’m surprised at my age I can still dream of a good election system. Sunday morning Daydreams.
