Is that a true statistic? Would like to see the source. As someone who likes to keep both eyes open and not be unduly influenced by pre-conceived notions and cherished beliefs (I think that had to be said given the content of the majority of comments here) I am truly appalled. I would hope that even the fictional Thurston J. Howell who wanted to do everything the Republican way would see this as tyranny.

The USA was the world’s first Liberal Democracy. That was its first mistake. We should have conserved the powers of the Church and Crown.
