Old saying dress in layers. Here in KS not ready to use furnace been fairly warm for Oct. Strange thing is here in KS for October weather can vary. Two weeks before Halloween it turned bitter cold. Hubby went to 2nd shift. Then Halloween our daughter a few weeks old our son just turned 3 I could not take our son out our neighbors took him for his first one. This was 25 years ago. Another one on Halloween in one part near Wta there was a divided line small town half received ice on east then west part on 4” of snow.

Wally and Evie are the best! Those two are always the bright spots when they’re having a rough time in this comic.

The sweater is clean, it has no holes in it, and it has no insulting or crude messages on it. I don’t see a problem with it …. It’s warm.

fbjsr: Braggart. I gots no sympathy for ya. :)

Here in Darkest Saskatchewan it’s sunny and -1ºC and the furnace (or in our case, boiler) has been chugging along nicely. There’s flurries in the forecast, but they keep moving them; today they’ve moved from next Monday to Wednesday.

Wow, here in lovely Arkansas it’s still getting up into the mid to high 70’s during the day and dropping into the 40s/50s at night. Course we never really get winter until December at the earliest. Anything earlier and the state might implode

The sweater may not be the “in” thing but Wally is a real nice guy.

Just what IS that creature on the sweater? Not a rabbit… not a cat… not a puppy….

    Its a cattapupbit.

Same idea as a churkendoose. which is, of course, a fowl who hatched from an egg which was sat on by a chicken, a turkey, a duck and a goose.

@ellisaana; I really like those words, cattapupbit and churkendoose. They have a certain… flair.

Compensates for having to flag the 2 spams yet again. (I sent an email to GoComix to complain. We’ll see what they do about it.)

Had I done the lettering in that last panel it’d read: “Where did he get that sweater?!”
