Yeah, fearmongering is only used by right wingnuts. No one ever said “The Republicans want to kill old people” or “Republicans want to take away your Social Security”. That’s not fear-mongering is it now? Nah.
What, nobody does iron-mongering anymore? How about scandal-mongering? Never any lack of scandals to monger.
In 1963 the Dems carried fear-mongering to its peak when they successfully (though falsely) painted Barry Goldwater as a war-monger. Remember the famous daisy ad? (The only advantage to getting old is that you don’t have to study history when you remember so much of it the first time around.)
Whereas many of the above merely indulge in hate mongering. always nice when both sides are failures to blame the other one for the ruin of the nation when all they had to do was seek the living God. Sigh.
