Trump’s ghosted book about the “art” of the deal was itself a scam. There was no art.
His artless point is that to be honest or scrupulous about a business deal (or any deal) is for suckers. To stick it to anyone stupid enough to be stuck is “smart,” and that includes any and all governments.
Let me repeat these words: His artless point is that to be honest or scrupulous about a business deal (or any deal) is for suckers. That as clearly as anything I have seen describes Trump’s attitude towards those he conned into voting for him, and who will be devastated financially by the policies he now puts forth.
By the time Trump was in his 40s, his working motto became:
Sexton bluntly compares the interaction between Trump and his followers to that of a cult. He reminds us of the time in 2015 when Trump belittled John McCain’s hero status by saying McCain was no hero, as well as the release of the infamous Access Hollywood tapes. In both cases, traditional wisdom was that this was a kill shot for his candidacy, yet both times Trump’s numbers spiked instead, and interviews with supporters had several of them directly parroting Trump’s tweets and statements by calling into account the complaining women’s ages and looks.

“Overpromise, underdeliver, keep the difference.”
There may be no more pithy definition of a scam.

Every time he starts to act like a dictator he stabs himself in the back. Beware the chides of farce.

Except that Trump would not work with others, and he can’t follow instructions.
