I wonder if the US will ever decide that a woman leader doesn’t have to be so completely perfect, while it’s perfectly okay for a man to accuse people crossing a border of being rapists, try to block people of a particular religion from getting the the US, turn his back on allies who defended us from terrorists, and forget about the environment? Apparently, anything a male leader does can be acceptable, while a female would-be leader has to grow wings and a halo. How lucky for Germany that they aren’t so rigid anymore…

The election was hers to lose, and she lost it.

You had the misfortune of running in a year when the low information voters decided they were sick of smart people telling them what to do.

People don’t want to repeat Clinton sleaze. You are not liked. Anyone else could have beaten Trump.

The non voters defeated her. And the third party candidates. And that remark about the deplorables.

Her main strategic error, and the party establishment enabled it, was to think she could walk away from the Progressive wing of the party and they’s still vote for her. A lot of those people were not “party people” in the old sense. They were progressive independents looking for the right candidate to support. Once she sidelined Sanders many of them simply lost interest. I’m amazed by how many otherwise intelligent young people tell me they didn’t vote at all because they didn’t like either candidate. Another aspect of that is the emerging story about younger voters being “micro-targeted” with Facebook ads designed to dissuade voter participation. That foreign “meddling” in the election wasn’t hacking to change the vote count. It was the use of a troll army based in Russia and Ukraine and connected to the Russian government security apparatus, to micro-target young American voters who only get their info through Social media to convince them not to vote. And it worked like a charm this time. Will it work again?

Hillary Clinton lost because she is an unlikeable person with tons of baggage who did not campaign like she should have because she thought she was entitled to the presidency. No it was not misogyny it was Hillary.

The Dems have been losing because they climbed into their ivory towers and turned their backs on people who, at one time, where their core constituents, working middleclass Americans.

“Basket of Deplorables” and “millennials still living in their parent’s basements” did not help. All she had to do was not offend the groups she needed, yet she did the opposite.

I wonder how much Trump colluded with Russia. I wonder if Republicans even care. I wonder how many Senate Republicans were complicit. I wonder why the Republicans are such bigots. I wonder why they won’t believe facts.

Most of all, I wonder what their preoccupation is with Clinton, did anyone tell the Right wing they won the presidency? They’ve been whining ever since donald got in.

Striped Cat said, “The Dems have been losing because they climbed into their ivory towers and turned their backs on people…” Quite true. So instead, the voters much prefered Republican candidates who will hide in Wall Street banks and will victimize them.
