Back when it was still legal, I was often designated leaf-burner after having raked my uncle’s lawn. But never did I get to use a flamethrower! I am so jealous of Lio!

Shouldn’t Lio have warned Dad to wear goggles and/or other protective clothing, though?

The EPA is firing up its jets, alerting the media, and heading that way.

Although I do care about Global warming and the environment in general, I have to wonder if the leaf burning bans are so much the EPA or local ordinances passed because leaf burning annoys some people. Personally, I always liked it.

They still do it around here. Not in town, but out in the county. It is not uncommon to drive down a county road and see a ditch or pile of yard stuff burning.

the EPA can put it where the sun don’t shine.. Nothing says Fall like the smell of burning leaves, even if it is still 90 degrees.

Careful, John, someone might think you’re a spammer and flag you.

Y’know, that doesn’t look like fire to me – it looks like Lio used some kind of Mad Science™ chemical to quick-dissolve the leaves.

Honestly, Dad, you didn’t see that coming? Lio’s got the tank on his back and he’s wearing his “foofing” clothes! What did you think was going to happen?
