Though it’s hard to immagine NOW, humorists had a hard time getting a satiric handle on Bill Clinton early on, too. Sure made up for lost time, though. So don’t worry - the new Prez’ll get his fair share. They all do, eventually.

Gee maybe he can start with a comic depiction of a politician surrounded by corrupt Chigago cronies who are either indicted or in jail, yet the press or his adoring public cannot believe the politician could be touched by the corruption around him. Maybe Obama should wear a dented halo ala the feather that Trudeau gave some Republican politician. Somehow I doubt Trudeau will do that though. I am always amazed at how the left just cannot see Obama as a lampoonable figure.

This whole story line keeps putting me in mind of “For Better or for Worse”. A nostalgic look at days gone by.

The feather represented Dan Quayle, both as a pun on his “birdy” last name and to suggest that the veep was a lightweight.

Trudeau is probably waiting until Obama himself does something stupid. His strips about Bush 41 had Jeb threatening to punch him out when he saw him in person once during Bush 41’s reign.

Hey! I told you guys… Obama will be depicted as Jesus Christ. Jesus was surrounded by corruption, but he did all right - hmm, until they crucified Him. Maybe that ain’t such a good idea after all.
