This is why (a) books are better than “e-readers,” and (b) libraries must never be allowed to die out.

This is why I ask for sources whenever people attempt to do thinks like deny climate change or evolution. Almost always the sources will be the same 2 specific blogs. Said blogs usually get their information from other blogs, or on rare occasions a magazine. If I’m very lucky, it’ll be a scientific journal within 4 leaps. Usually by then I find out they misrepresented the paper somewhere, likely when you notice the first blog to report it has an obvious agenda.

    Telephone for the modern age.

How can the message boards and blogs be incorrect? That’s where Trump gets his facts.

(You knew somebody was going to say that)

All you need to do is look at the history of humankind to see that all humans are idiots.

And they are generally at their worst when they believe they are at their best.

Goat, in denying the premise despite the mountain of evidence, proves its value.

When you look at our current (president?), it’s hard to deny that assumption!

Not an original argument, but it needs to be repeated occasionally.Consider how stupid the average person is.Now consider that half of the population is worse than that.

Next week is my one year anniversary of quitting Facebook. It’s a good starting point.

Trying to find unbiased info on the net is a daunting task. So much is personal biases. Snopes is pretty good for some subjects and Politfacts isn’t bad.

To quote Dogbert from and old competing strip, “I’ve probably sneezed more brain cells than the average human uses on election day.”

Thanks. I’m going to the local bookstore and get a used bio of HRC. I don’t think I need to learn to curse nor swear, so I won’t lose my soul researching her on-line.

I’m surprised Pig actually bothered to check all the references. Most articles don’t post references (especially if there are none) and even when they do, most people don’t check them.

Rat rules! The interwebs say so, so it must be so!

    (Cartoon-Boy made me say that.)

My favorite of these was a Congressman who, after following back the whole trail of citation, cited himself.. but his original statement was full of caveats and ‘potentially’ that were removed as it passed from story to story.

Anyone can enter stuff on Wikipedia, but anything unsourced or vandalism would be removed. Not to brag but I’m kind of a professional Wikipedia editor, though some editors don’t see it that way..
