The first person who appears to be actually getting ready to bowl and of course it’s Bernice.

Bernice is showing a sense of humor at last! Her timing could have been better though…

Sounds like you might be my first client! Why?

1.Because you, sir, sound like a crazy person.

2.Because of all things you said you liked, not one of them is something you can get a degree in, even at that awful community college you go to, so clearly you are floundering about what you want to do with your life and you are unable to answer the question, “What’s your major?”

3.Because unlike most therapists, I have decided to make it my policy to date my clients.

4.Because I think I can come up with a way to mix creative taxidermy, stop-motion horror flicks and medieval weaponry. Have you ever heard of a movie called “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”? It has all those things in it and I think it is begging for a remake.

5.Because I plan to specialize in therapies for the nerd.

6.Because I read a book about the best pick-up lines used by psychologists and that was the number one line.

7.Because we have been talking for a while now and not once have you looked at my chest.

Bernice made a funny. I hope they still get along.

Nil and Jack are opposites on dating. Nil’s attempt at a strike seems headed for the gutter. But Jack keeps setting them up so he can knock them over.

“Creative Taxidermy??” Well Nil, unless You are “Creatively” Stuffing People, You Sir, are about to get an Unpleasant Visit from PETA.

I see trouble ahead. And maybe a really creepy guy in your future, Bernice! RUN!!!!

@CARROTS: Not everyone thinks it’s funny to be told that they might need their head shrunk…

Dang – I was hoping Nil had a sense of humor! He got a very, very rare sexy smile from Bernice. He missed a big window to get on board. Maybe like, “I guess you don’t wanna be MY first client.” This pair of birds won’t fly if Nil has no sense of humor (I’m trying to remember if Gunther ever laughs).

Careful, Bern – if you drop that ball on Emo’s foot, he will become “Screamo”.

Okay, that was pretty funny. A tip of the hat to Bernice.

Nil is aptly named. I got panned when I mentioned that college doesn’t necessarily teach you anything useful. I know this is a strip but still.

Hmmmm … Nil didn’t mention art. I wonder why he’s sticking around in that ridiculous art class.

Too bad. This could have been, at least, a friendship, if not more. Bernice’s judgmental attitude will probably push Nil away.

Stop-action taxidermy would fit nicely with the interest in horror movies.

I don’t think any of Nil’s hobbies qualify as a major at a community college. Though if he majors in history, he could conceivably make medieval weaponry a focus of study for a graduate degree.

Nil – as his name implies – is too negative and anti-everything. It will be interesting if that changes in any way with his involvement with Bernice.

Bernice is showing some humor and loosening up – good for her! Hopefully, Nil – who has a dry wit of his own – will pick up the pace, and pick up that spare later on! :)

For the 20 minutes I couldn’t see anything because an ad BLOCKS entire page. I retried on 5 new windows and finally used the 5/14 short cut url and then I could finally sign in and comment. THIS IS GETTING WORSE.

It sounds like Nil is stating his interests, what he is into. Not what he is studying. We know he is taking art.

Nil’s course load indicates that he attends the most “Liberal Arts” community college in the world..!

Sounds like Nil may have Gomez Addams in his family tree.

I’m not sure that Nil, an emo / goth type, is relating to Bern’s teasing and humor. He’s serious about these things and she’s making fun. It will be interesting to see where this goes. These two may not be as compatible as we might think.

I think that it is time for Crystal to make an appearance.

I think Nil will have a witty comeback in tomorrow’s strip.

Nil is a dreamer, a soulful creative sort. Bernie is a stone-cold realist and not nearly as clever as she thinks she is. While they at first seemed like a possible Good Match, I now think them incompatible. C’est la vie!

I can’t help but notice the intensity of Nil’s face as it fills the 2nd panel. These things are his passion, despite the fact that he comes across (most of the time) as apathetic, an emo characteristic I think.
