Once the phase transition is complete and the feed back loops on our changing atmosphere is self sustaining the end of the world as we know it will be complete.
My hypothesis that a Type Civilization can create disasters on the next level of Civilization is possible. We are listed as Type 0 yet we are affecting our entire Earth on a Type 1 Civilization level right now. The danger of intelligence. We are failing the test.
By the way, fire ants were unintentionally, accidentally introduced to North America. They might have entered without human action eventually, but didn’t. There are many species of ants I saw around Northwest Florida in my youth which seem to have been wiped out, most likely by fire ants.
Burmese pythons are wiping out wildlife in south Florida. Human intervention but not intent.
Chinese chestnuts wiped out American chestnuts.
Some plant disease is currently wiping out the ash trees, I am told.
