Just like conservatives are constantly telling entertainers and other celebrities to shut up and “sing” (or whatever they do). Just think how often have we all heard, “(Trump*) is our president so give him a chance.”? Like the chance they have given any Democratic POTUS in the last 30 years? Hypocrisy of the highest order Carmen, and oh so human for us all.

Oh right. It’s conservatives who are shutting down free speech on campuses.

The thing is, college protests aren’t a form of censorship

The protestors aren’t trying to stand in the way of the controversial speaker, but rather to create an image of disapproval and rejection of that person, in order to make it clear that while they might speak, they won’t be representing the school’s students, and they aren’t approved of by the campus as a whole.

Obviously, the riots are problem, but that’s a whole different issue. College kids will riot for no reason at all if they get drunk enough, so it’s more of a problem of limiting drinking by college students. Heck, at a nearby university, we had a riot during the school’s annual Academic week.
