I always said, “find a stopping place, we are leaving in five minutes”. Now with video games its’s “find a stopping place. We are having dinner in ten”.
When my brother was a kid, he double-dipped spoons into the peanut butter. He had heard my mom tell us older kids, “okay you can have five more minutes” for other stuff and when he got caught double-dipping, he would say “five more min-utes wif a dir-ty poon.” it was so cute but I mean that’s gross bud.
