Good, Bernice came to her senses.

And it only took seven minutes.

Ooops. Well, on the good side, Bernice, at least you didn’t scare the guy away…

At THIS point, Piro MUST be thinking: “Do I sneak out and go down to Tiff’s room for a good night’s sleep, only to have Her TALK Me to Death, or do I Stay HERE, and Cram for a Test with a Love-Sick, Potentially DANGEROUS, Psychopath??”

It’s good for a girl to be able to get a good look at herself in the mirror and realize she has too much makeup on. I know lots of girls who do not have that ability.

Poor Bernice. I’m glad she came to her senses about the makeup.

Oh, this is so on target for the cerebral girl who’s fallen in love! She doesn’t know what to do with it!

Glad she wiped that stuff off. Yecch.

Thank goodness. Yesterday I was afraid she’d really do it with all that makeup. She came to her senses.

It’s true then..falling in love makes you forget things and commit embarrassing blunders.

If today’s strip was only the last two panels, someone might venture a guess that Bernice was struck by early onset Alzheimer’s.

That’s twice in one day that Bernice has had to pull her self back from the brink. Ah, those crazy hormones!

The heart skips and the mind slips.

Bernice should bring the notes and sit next to Piro kinda close. Maybe try to find a line in the text that gives her a chance to ask Piro something about himself. If she isn’t picking up any vibes after a few minutes – it’s probably not there. At least Bernice found out she needs to get a life.

So he’s been standing there the whole time?

She could have left the mascara on and some lip gloss. He would not have noticed anyway.

Bee escapes one disaster only to walk headlong into another. This meeting with Piro is not going as well as Bee had hoped, and yet he seems cautiously bemused by her bumbling….

“OK, here’s the notes!”

“Thanks. I’m gonna borrow these and copy ‘em, OK? I’ll drop ‘em off by your door when I’m done. Later.”

(Piro walks out while Bernice stares after him, bewildered)

Is that last look on Piro’s face means he may be catching on to what Bernice is up to?

Piro always has the same sad face. Bernice wiped off her clown face, thank goodness. She only needed a red nose! It’s still up to her what the next step is. chicks don’t need to wait to be asked out anymore. it’s the 21st century. No Gunther for you Bernice, take a risk!

Recap: One night he sleeps in B’s room (with B). One night he sleeps in T’s room (sans T). In between we have a wedding, several B crises, a missing TV, a dog date and whatever. Is this strip going somewhere? I’ve completely lost interest. Drama happens when a big change occurs. Remember “Who shot JR?” (probably not. Google it.) B’s episodes have ceased to contain dramatic interest. Move the story along Greg. PLEASE!!!

I think it’s time for Bernice to get another hair style change.

Well, that was fun. Bernice’s little, 7 second walk on the wild side showed she has the potential to play it hot. Now, maybe she shouldn’t waste it on Piro………….until she exposes him to some “extreme vetting”. : )

Yay, Bernice! Now even Piro has to be a little curious about what’s going on.

Some of the comments seem unduly hard on Bernice, who is a work in progress, and certainly no “moron”. When I was 19, I was very impressed by James Bond movies starring the suave Sean Connery. I invited a young lady to my basement apartment and mixed martinis for us (to look cool and masterful). Unfortunately, I made only two mistakes: (1) I used sweet vermouth instead of dry and (2) I used the gin and vermouth in equal proportions. I did throw in green olives. Undrinkable, and I don’t recall having a follow-up date, or getting to first base.

I am glad that Piro stuck it out, and didn’t rudely leave or chat up Tiff as some here suggested. Blank slate he may be, but we are seeing some positive qualities in Piro.

I thought she wanted to spend time with Piro? She is not spending much time with him.

….And for my next wrong prediction…Piro asks Bern out on a date or something like it…By end of this week…. Judging by his bemused expression in last panel

Actually keep the eyelashes, earrings, and necklace. It’s a good look. :)

Lose the glasses, Ms. Librarian!

I am glad Bernice decided to be herself, even though she is not being as insecure and confused as she is. We can’t read Piro, but it seems he is mostly unaware of any of her emotions, and only is concerned about getting the notes from her. What makes that uncertain is that he is staying around for at least 7, if not as much as 10 minutes if you add a little time for conversation with Dez, but has not left. Is he just being patient, waiting for something he really needs, or is there possibly more? All mujo is my contention, and poor Bernice just not know how to handle it, or even what it is that she needs to handle. Again though it is much better she is herself, because if she got off her insecurity, see could be quite fun for all her snarkiness, Luann likes her, and I am sure the right Luannverse guy could as well. Is Piro the one? we will see.

Just come back with nothing on but the notes covering yer naughty bits. That’ll work!

With or without ‘war paint’, it does not matter. Bernice cannot do the one thing that is the overall ‘theme’ of this arc, as referenced in last Saturday’s strip – She cannot focus!

Good save then lost the ball again…

phew….Bernice gets lost in her urges and emotions but then catches herself, a good trait I think.

Okay, that was more amusing than it had any right to be. I give Bernice a lot of grief, but I’m sure I’ve gotten sidetracked like that plenty of times before.

well, at least her face is now freshly scrubbed!

Just throw your arms around him and plant one on him like you did Zane!

why does make-up always look like clown make-up even though most women use it all the time and presumably know how to to apply it?

Does anyone else realize that Piro is using Bernice! Bernice shouldn’t give Piro any of her notes until she knows Piro is actually interested in her.
