Obamacare is what’s making people lose their care. Just because people are listed as having care in the books doesn’t mean they can see the doctor they want or have the plan they want. The idea that Trump hates health care, and that we have to make no changes to our healthcare system, is ill-conceived. If universal healthcare were the answer, six million Americans wouldn’t have paid the fine to avoid being covered.

American is quite generous and only a few (but quite vocal) complain about the aspect of helping those less fortunate.

In 2015, Americans gave more to charity than they’ve ever given, according to a report released Tuesday by the Giving USA Foundation, which conducts research and education on philanthropy.

Total charitable donations — from individuals, estates, foundations and corporations — rose around 4% to $373.25 billion in 2015, which is “record-setting whether measured in current or inflation-adjusted dollars,” the report reveals. This means, on average, Americans give more than $1 billion to charity every single day.

The largest chunk of the money given to charity came from individual Americans, who gave $264.58 billion, up 3.8% from a year prior. “More people give than vote in the U.S.,” says Patrick Rooney, the associate dean for academic affairs and research at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
