The exact same technique that he used in the election. Demean the other guy with crass and baseless accusations to elevate his own status. He must see himself in competetion for popularity with his predecessor. Or is he trying to divert attention from his own Russia problems.
This was not a trial balloon, it was a direct accusation that Obama had committed a felony. It’s pretty clear by now that Trump had no evidence to support this accusation. What should we do when we realize that we have a president who makes serious accusations with no evidence?
@lonecat. The craven and traitorous republicans won’t impeach him for this alone. They need to move slowly to allow for maximum political leverage. The 25th amendment stands ready, though.
Sure, why not, Lisa? If they can manufacture some fake BS about Trump asking the Russians to hack DNC emails, why can’t we float this? It’s just a return salvo in the US political BS war…
The FBI and CIA have absolutely no right to refuse to conduct the investigation demanded by the President. He is President, and the office has to be respected, simply as a part of respecting the country. Consequently, a through investigation of every shred of evidence that exists which proves that Obama authorized a wire tap of Trump Tower needs to be completed. If it does turn out that all of that evidence proves that Obama did something wrong, then he needs to be held accountable. Conversely, if it turns out that all of the available evidence exists between Trump’s ears, then that area needs to be investigated with equal effort, and the results used to prove that one of these men is unfit to be president—and it isn’t Obama. The idea of this guy in the same hemisphere as the nuclear football scares me rather badly. I was assured by Republican friends that he would have sane people around him who would prevent him from doing anything totally crazy. Who? Kelly Ann? Bannon? Miller? He has selected “people around him” who are crazier than he is, and totally convinced that the world is out to get them. If that isn’t a recipe for disaster, what is?
NOAH, Trump and his team may very well have been wire-tapped, but it was NOT authorized by Obama. Trump’s team continual contacts with Russians are a problem and they SHOULD be investigated.
