He would absolutely NEVER live this down if he went to the board and the other kids saw his… problem. Susie would still be laughing at him at their 50th high school reunion. Why didn’t he just run home from the playground?
I know this would go against every instinct in Calvin’s body, but why doesn’t he just tell her? She’s a 1st grade teacher; I’m sure she’s had to deal with stuff a lot more embarrassing than this.
This reminds me of when in the 1st or 2nd grade I had a wasp or bee go up the leg of my pants. I started yelling and crying because I was afraid of getting stung. The teacher took me into the cloak closet in the back of the classroom and had me drop my pants to check for the wasp/bee. I don’t remember what happened to it, but I didn’t get stung and went back to the class room all calmed down. I don’t remember being embarrassed by the incident, but I wonder what would happen if a teacher did that today.

Miss Wormwood looks to be about 90 years old…shouldn’t she be retired? Teachers get a nice pension…

Calvin has a legitimate excuse, but he will be on his way to the front office soon. For baring it, space rockets and all!!!
