The students were there to protest. That is still allowed isn’t it? The riots and vandalism are usually started by anarchists. Personally, I think they should allow the bigots speak, followed by a rebuttal to demonstrate how stupid they are.

I believe that the initial protest was peaceful, and the thugs bussed in started the riot and violence and there was no way Berkley could have anticipated that, and so the event had to be canceled. Where I do fault the school and the city in which it resides is that there appeared to be little or no police presence to stop the violence or push it back, and last I have heard, only one (one!) arrest. As soon as things got out of control, they should have responded in force, and there should have been hundreds of arrests.

OK; let’s take this to the extreme. All leftwingers want to riot and burn. All rightwingers want to shoot Muslims. At least, that is how some people tend to indicate their thinking.

Lester and RWNJs “know” that the violence was done by Berkeley students and not by anarchists. Their non-critical reasoning would explain that McVeigh was really a LIBRUL!

Republicans only want free speech for the correct people. They don’t see where defending your right to speech will help them at all. And don’t even get them started on your religion.
