People can send their children to any school they want, so they ARE free to choose. They need to pay for private school if that is what they want. My tax dollars should not be paying for religious instruction. Charter schools have been able to pick and choose students yet their results are the same or worse than public schools that must accept everyone.

Payne, EVERYONE should be protesting DeVos, not just the Democrats. Her pro-Choice stand has nothing to do with why she needs to slink back into obscurity. She is unfit for the position. You’re just throwing out the whole stupid pro-Choice thing as a means to get the ignorant who have no idea who DeVos is but all the care about is the abortion issue. So you throw out this stupid pro-Choice argument to get them fired up, for all the wrong reasons. Meanwhile, the children of these same people get stuck in an education system that will be destroyed by DeVos.
