That’s why I always go for used cars. Then again, they last so well that I haven’t had to buy one for many years anyway.

That’s about 1/2 what I paid for my condo. But then I live in the expensive Northeast. Still more than I paid for my car brand new.

I once lived in a ’66 Ford Galaxie; paid $125 for it.

I remember riding to school in Tampa and seeing condos being built on the water. They came with boat docks. The had red teracatta roofs and stucco walls. My buddy and I laughed; who in their right mind would spend that much for a condo. That was in 1967.

I’ve skimped on every vehicle I’ve ever had then I got the Jeep Rubicon, my mid life crisis vehicle. Got everything but seat heater and Bluetooth. Love it!

I’ve had my truck for almost 17 years now, got over 300,000 miles on her, and she just keeps on going…and 4WD comes in handy when there’s a foot of snow on the ground…

I recall a man from the inner city telling me once: “You can live in a car, but you can’t drive a house.”

My first house was $25,000 (New Construction). My first car was $125.00 used!
