Insanity is always oddly compelling. But do not expect the mentally ill to change without treatment. Even then at 70 years old, trump is exceedingly unlikely to change—ever. Not only does he think he’s sane, but most people are unwilling to face the bitter truth that he is not. Do not be surprised by anything this man does. His mental illness drives compulsively ill behaviors. He has no choice. Our choice is to recognize the insanity and to point out the insane at every turn. Ridicule, sarcasm, and scorn are the weapons. Clear-headed sanity based on fact and reality needs to confront the mentally ill at every turn. This is not about politics or policy, it’s about sanity.

My question is when is the leadership in Congress going to face up to their responsibilities? Are they really OK with the suppression of speech and information? We heard much about President Obama’s supposed disrespect for the Constitution, but we have never seen anything as egregious as what is going in now in less than a week of the start of this administration.

Donald Trump, a climate change denier, has put a gag order on the EPA and signed off on XL and DAPL. Who knew.

BTW: that is his classic “tell” when he’s lying. He flails his arms around (“Danger, Will Robertson”) when he’s making things up.

Eating invisible corn on the cob is the most innocent, normal thing he’s done for a while.
