Just the spice we don’t need. It is obvious he has over spiced that stew when the first thing the white house does is an easily verified lie. Not a surprise coming off of a fact-free campaign. Now on the heels of the lowest attended inauguration after the slimmest win by a minority vote, you would think this administration would work to pull all the people together, instead they are squandering the honeymoon period with more lies and distractions. We aren’t falling for it like breitbart subscribers.
I don’t remember anyone “lapping up” for Obama. Oh, you mean the total lack of reality from Rush and Hannity, et. al., who said EVERYTHING Obama said was a lie, so YOU believe they are the only ones telling the truth.Apparently there is no other source you find credible? I guess you believe Alex Jones as well? I’m still waiting for internment camps and 8 lane highway from Mexico to KC to show up.
Given some of the posts of these followers of trump, I do have to wonder how many of these twits would jump off a building if Breitbart or Infowars told them the law of gravity had been repealed.
I am concerned what will be done that is not noticed due to the deflections of lies. The obvious incorrect information may hide extremely heinous actions. Like the magician who hides an object in his left pocket because everyone is concentrating on his right hand. Some here are extremely susceptible to that manipulation.
Trump raised the issue of crowd size while making questionably appropriate remarks at CIA headquarters. And then apparently directed Spicer to back his crowd size commentary with Saturday’s impromptu press announcement citing obviously false and nonsensical graphic and statistical information. Our new administration was burned badly on these lies, as well they should have been.
We know that size matters to Donald, from his junk to adoring crowds to all manner of things in his world. The salesman (or con-man) in him wants and needs the things in his orbit to be the biggest, the shiniest, the best ever . . .
The job he has taken rarely offers this. For the POTUS, slights and disappointments go with the job. He’s not going to last if he cannot learn to bear the great majority of slights, offenses and negative comparisons quietly. Again, the inaugural crowd size would not have been such an issue had he not brought it up and tried to doctor the evidence.
For the sake of the country, I hope he can learn from this. But I have grave doubts. The personality and viewpoint of a seventy year old are deeply ingrained. He does not display an ability to learn. And he has not shown much respect for objective truth in his short life in politics.
To that end, to citizens and the media alike, vigilance.
So far, not one of the “conservative” posters here appear to have acknowledged the flat reality that Spicer lied, and so did Trump, as regards his crowd sizes, and Conway tried to invent a new way to say “untruth” to reinforce it – and that this is just sad.
If Trump had just said “I’m very happy with the people who came and saw,” no one would have commented. There would have been a few snarky remarks from the left, but there would not have been the strong response we got to a blatant attempt to snow the American people.

Reality is not a salad bar; you don’t get to pick and choose.

Welcome to the Ministry of Truth. How many of Trump’s key advisors came from the “Ministry of Peace”- we’re in deep doo doo!
