Threes a crowd. Five is a party

oh, won’t this be swell

oh boy, the meeting at the restaurant where Brad did the proposal to Toni LMAO……… one of what Les thought was just 2, but ends up being at least 5

Well, its not going to be a burger joint……….Les wants to impress, and we’ll have a mess. Somehow this is going to be a modern day Three Stooges meet the Marx Brothers.

The real question is, ‘Will Less get stuck with five checks at the most elegant, romantic, and expensive restaurant in town?’

Les will probably pick out a restaurant in the cost range of the necklace he bought her, and by the time Pru gets everybody together, there will be a party of 20. Halfway through the meal, Les will excuse himself to go to the restroom and will sneak out the bathroom window. Hopefully, they will be on the 5th floor…

I think I can say without fear of contradiction, this ought to be very interesting.

It should be obvious from this discussion that Prudence wasn’t ‘acting the tease’, or pretending to be naive or what. She is just clearly on a different page, and has no idea that Les is after a personal relationship. After all, he did have a collection box at the Fuse that was supposedly collecting donations for this youth theater project. So it isn’t surprising to me that Prudence figures that the theater is Les’s reason for wanting to meet…

To me, the biggest question is whether, at the meeting, Les will find out the real scoop on Pru. If he does not, then he’ll still be sweet on her, even though very frustrated, and the suspense will continue unresolved. If he does, expect some unpredictable excitement to follow.

Major BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRNNNNNNN in the offing.

For those that think Pru should know what’s going on, I am Asexual. When women expressed their interest in me, I had no clue. I thought they were just being friendly.

Eerily reminiscent of how I found out the young woman I had been dating had fallen for another woman: as her companion on a university theater trip..

On a side note, cook pot pies in an oven not the microwave, much better!

I have said before that I believe Les shows all the attributes of a stalker/abuser. This dinner may be the spark that finally sets him off. Pru is in for a bad time of it.

well, at least we know who the “bearer of bad news” is going to be. that romance is going to be so “d.o.a.” and too bad Luann hasn’t raised a flag yet.

Stretching it out another day until Luann figures it out.

Les won’t like that at all. This makes me so happy I taught my children to cook, my 15 year old daughter can make several different meals.

Can and will Luann clue Pru?

@QuietStorm27 Apparently the ability to cook is becoming a lost skill. As more and more women enter the workforce even the stay-at-home wives/mothers are succumbing to the lure of “easy to prepare” and frozen meals. You can’t even find a roasting hen any more.

Interesting manners, not checking with Les if it’s okay to invite more people. Oh Pru, you clueless wonder?

All right, i may be all by my lonesome here, but I feel kinda sorry for Les the last few days.

Looks like maybe Les did find a way into the dorm to steal the TV. It looked like he used charity money he skimmed to buy the necklace for Pru – so maybe he sold a TV to get money for the big date. Nevertheless – it seems odd that Pru doesn’t pick up on Les’s intentions – Pru being from New York, where nobody is born yesterday…

uh oh.

Ouch… this dinner is going to prove uncomfortable for three people now. Will Les figure out Pru is not into him (or other males)? Will Les simply think it was miscommunication and he will try to ask Pru out again? Will Luann be the one to figure things out (Les being infactuated with Pru, and Pru being oblivious to that notion)? If Luann does figure it out, will she blab what she knows or keep it quiet so Les and Pru can eventually figure this out?

I predict(wrongly) Luann and/or parents will see Les first, start talking about things, then Pru gets there later and walks into a big commotion.

I guess the impending disaster for Les will be funny because it will be happening to a creepy bad guy. Or maybe it won’t be funny, just sad. Imagine having sympathy for a creep.

Didn’t I see this on an episode of Frasier once?

Heh heh heh… I can’t wait to see the expression on Les’s face when Luann and others show up. Re: the still frozen pie, Luann could have stir fried some veges (throwing in some nuts and seeds), made a quick omelette and maybe a salad too, all in a fraction of the time it took to partially nuke those frozen solid pies. Then they would have had that home cooked meal.

Greg has called up the “B” team after the intensity of the wedding and budget strip. Now, Pru is the only character that I like in this new group, but I had the impression that she was much older than Luann and her friends. She has some kind of Broadway experience, wild friends still back in NY, described herself as a lesbian, drove all the wayfrom NY to see Quill and jump start entertainment at The Fuse, lives with Frank and Nancy, has no background story (like Mr. Gray), does have a bad hair style and no eyebrows, and is sadly under-used. My point: Give her some action, and perhaps, a make over. She used to wear some crazy stuff when she first arrived.

This expanded banquet is going to put a huge dent into Les’s ill-gotten gains, not to mention putting him in a foul mood and probably triggering his nasty temper.

Of course Frank could write it off as a business expense.
