COSTUMED CRIMEFIGHTERS ACADEMY – Online (for the duration of the emergency) Review Lesson #11: Training the Trainers. In our profession, there is usually no such thing as buying professional attire “off the shelf.” Especially if you plan to go with the “classic” approach, as our aspiring applicant does. We have no real name yet for this fellow, and he apparently is never out of costume so a background check is difficult; we can only surmise that he has either experience in tailoring or had Home Economics thrust upon him in high school because the shop classes were full. (Hey – it happens.) However, as cobblery or tailoring classes do not appear to be around anymore (even in trade schools), he is left to his own devices regarding construction of uniforms and procurement of footwear. The latter is especially unfortunate; since he has made his base of operations in rugged wooded areas of the U.S.-Canada border, proper footwear is critical to safely navigating the terrain. (He might also consider losing the cape; while it may keep him warm in the winter, they do tend to get snagged on trees, usually at the most inconvenient moments, such as when you’re on the verge of capturing your quarry – or escaping from evildoers trying to trap you.)
