Hmmm…. strange for one uptown girl to have six television sets in a dormitory.

I read a lot of mystery stories, and it gets kind of old to keep using the stereotype of the ‘dumb cop’ all the time, even if this time it’s a ‘dumb security guard’. Her alibi isn’t the fake story of where she spent her break, it’s whoever saw her while she was at her father’s place. Most likely including a tutor who her father insisted she work with to bring up her grades, because why else would he insist on her coming home except that he wasn’t pleased with her grades? It’s not like he wanted to spend time with her. He isn’t known for that…

Her alibi is a “fake story” which can quite easily be proven. So ironic in the age of FB and social media. I just know social media postings have been used as evidence although its not the posting itself that will prove her alibi, it’s her dad, or anyone that was at the house that can prove she was there, and not at Mooney. It still remains to be seen the connection between the keycard, the missing TV, and the scarf that Bernice concealed. If the campus people talk to Dez she would contradict Bernice who by the way lied if you guys forgot. Tiffany gave a fake alibi to not embarass herself, but did not lie about a possible determinative fact. How did the keycard get to whomever got in the lounge on break? Who used it? Can they be connected to the burgle of the TV? I think this is a very interesting and absolutely not boring storyline. Those who think it is a boring storyline well my impression is that any story line that lasts more than 3 or 4 days is boring. ADD run rampant.

Having 6 TV’s is not a good alibi. Many well to do people have been caught shoplifting. It is a mental problem. But, in her case, I cannot believe she carried a TV anywhere. She would have found some guy to do it for her!

I love Tiffany’s eyebrows of sincerity, in thinking just “how ridiculous” the accusations of the nice security officer and Director Lopez must be…

At this point, Tiffany thinks she’s Wyle E. coyote, marking an “X”, ready to drop a boulder on them… But Tiffany’s the one ‘on tbe spot’…..

    -

    If they went shouting: “U! G! L! Y!  You ain’t got no alibi!”, I’m sure she’d only take exception to the U, G, L, Y part…

This campus cop doesn’t know Tiffany the way we do. She lives in her own little " I am the center of the Universe" uh, universe. And will go to great lengths to maintain this self illusion/delusion. Case in point; even after admitting to photo shopping her Facebook page, she still maintains she was in Austria.

    .

Interesting plot twist. Did TIffany give Piro her keycard, or was she actually on campus for some reason?

    .

All the “insiders” here may know more about this than I do…. but I was very surprised to notice today that the comics I read that are long (from top to bottom) now show in their entirety again when I look through my comics. Previously since the launch of the new site, there was a blue bar that you had to click on to expand those longer comics for view. Any else notice this? I actually had grown to like the blue bar for expansion because some of my comic choices (Zen Pencils, for instance) are VERY LONG and sometimes it is nice to not have to scroll through them every time I look on a given day. Anyone know if this is a universal change or did I hit/change some sort of setting that I can change back to get the blue “expansion bar” back?

If Paul Blart wants her to be guilty, He’ll find a way to make her guilty. however, it’s so obvious that guilty she’s not. well, of stealing the T.V that is. we knew she had too many at home. she’s guilty of extreme shallowness with a side of ignorance.

It seems Tiffany did not use her access card over the winter break. But it was used by someone, and Tiffany is not aware of that. It sounds like someone used her card without her permission.

It’s sad for Tiffany in a way that she seems to have been so lonely during Christmas break that she had to invent something fabulous. I’m betting she really was with her parents and she loaned her key card to someone else (possibly Piro) and wasn’t even on campus at all. She’s been known to have a big heart, if not a big mind, and could have lent him her room as a place to stay.

Don’t dorms have security cameras so they could check and see if Tiffany did enter the dorm at the time in question? Or to see EVERYONE who entered the dorm over that time? I don’t know if they do or not – just asking. It just seems to make sense that they would. If they don’t, they really should.

@JPUZZLEWHIZ: The reality is, with many property crimes, it is my understanding that the police in some areas are now so over burdened that for some of the crimes, they will take a report so you have something to provide to an insurance company, but they don’t have the resources to investigate every property crime. I’m not sure where a television ranks on that list, but they seem to concentrate more on large stolen goods, like cars. Stolen bicycles, for example, may not be actively investigated unless a lot of them are reported at once.

Notice Tiffany’s eyes in the 2nd panel as she is implying that she would have no reason to steal a TV. They are just like her eyes a couple days ago when she realized she was being caught for ‘something’. They don’t match the eyes of someone telling the truth.

Tiffany is not trying to be evasive. But her thought processes are so convoluted that she is likely to leave the Campus Cop and Director Lopez utterly flummoxed. They might just as well save themselves the confusion and move on to the next suspect….
