After hearing this mornng’s news, I’m beginning to think DT is in league with Putin to destroy this country altogether.

I see a lot of people complaining that the imagery was in poor taste, but not a single one who claimed they didn’t get the point.

The point was made, and very effectively. Folks, political cartoons aren’t supposed to be “nice” all the time.

All you sad-sack sourpusses out there complaining about the comparison to 9-11 or that it is “too soon”, get over yourselves!

And I hope they take a LONG LONG time to figure out a replacement. In the meantime we won’t have a bunch of deadbeats with their hands in the taxpayer’s pockets.

Although I can agree with the point; this is not clever, funny, appropriate, or even helpful. Please remove it.

Nothing wrong with the metaphor — Luckovich isn’t demeaning the events of 9/11, or the people who died that day.

The best editorial cartoons encourage debate. So, yeah, 15 years later, this is apropos.

i’m a liberal and pro ACA but don’t think this comparison is accurate or helpful and kind of disgusting.

I don’t like the idea of using 9-11 as part of any political cartoon, but I hate the fact that I think it’s accurate. Our poor Country…

I’m for Obama care, but this is an absolutely horrible and tasteless drawing.

Suicide mission. Red state parasites will suffer more, and they already die sooner. The GOP will just have to gerrymander twice as hard.

Based on the best information we have available, repealing Obamacare will likely cause around 8400 additional American deaths every year, because not having insurance raises the death rate by a quantifiable amount. (Source: Nicholas Kristoff, NYT, but also elsewhere.) So yes, the cartoon is accurate and not at all overstating the case: the GOP will kill far more Americans every four months than the terrorists did on 9/11. And as a bonus, it will also vastly increase the deficit!

Shocking image yes, but the problem is they aren’t out just to destroy the ACA, but almost every piece of history that makes America, "America’ and the United States of America.

@Mr Blawt – I don’t know if you are still trolling here but I am not, and have never been, anti-abortion. I haven’t posted here in a while but if there is a way to search my old posts you will find me in direct opposition to the anti-abortion crowd.

I am staunchly opposed to the indolent and the incapable feeling that they can improve their lot in life by using the Government to take my money and hand it out to them just because they can vote. I work too hard for my earnings to see them squandered on handouts to the voters so that Democrats can buy their votes.

Bernie Sanders uncovered and brought out into the open and enormous crowd of people who think that the Government should be in the business of creating equal outcome. I will always be opposed to that rabble.
