It’s odd how everyone in the US forgot that W. Bush and dick Cheney started an illegal war in Iraq which resulted in the spawning of ISIS. These guys should be charged with war crimes.
You kinda think they’d remember 3 wars, a depression, a banking collapse and no jobs…. but hey…. after the Great Depression and WWII, they went and put the Repos back in charge of Congress in ’48 and almost threw out Harry Truman…Guess they like pretty lies more than real accomplishments….
The fact that the person who didn’t win the election is now being appointed by the electoral college as president should make it clear to anyone who is paying attention at all, that American citizens are in charge of absolutely nothing.
The electoral college was included in the constitution because it was written by a group of men who, though they were liberal for their time, were slave holders and had very little faith in anyone who was not college educated and rich. The idea was to enable the educated elite in each state to appoint people who would override the uneducated common people if they didn’t do what the elite considered the right thing. They sincerely were trying to protect the government they were creating, which protected their own positions in society. After all, if some hick farmer had been “feeling the Bern” in 1800, we would have a much different country than we do now
I remember the George W. Bush years. And that is why this year seems like deja vu to me. Trump is Bush only much much worse.
And by the way, let me put in a plug for what I thought was his finest hour: after the 9/11 attack he used his position to do what he could to discourage anti-moslem violence.I don’t see our president elect doing the same. I think this is one reason I am reading about increased anti-moslem and anti-semitic incidents.
And this is just what I am seeing in the news. I carpool with someone who is sikh and her nephew has been told that “now that Trump is president you will have to go back where you came from”.
Much of what occurred in the 00’s is not relevant to today’s current issues: globalization. For Jen to somehow connect the dots to Trump is just as ridiculous as many who support the notion we are not a Republic and that Hillbilly actually won the election. The decelerate acts of a desperate President Barack Hussein Obama II within the last days of office should be a clue WHY hellbeast did not win. But unfortunately, the left refuses to take a critical look in the mirror and only see reflections of what could have been.
