We had a mechanic sucked into a CV-880 engine. Fortunately, it wasn’t a fan jet so he blocked enough air flow that the compressor stalled and spit him back out onto the ramp. He wasn’t even badly hurt. Wouldn’t be like that today, tho.
One of the worst single plane disaster for its time was when a jumbo was hit by a microburst in the flare path over a highway. Dallas, Fire & Ice, anyone remember?
