To be fair, I maintained that President Obama deserved a modicum of respect simply because of the office he held…I guess I will have to give that same respect to Mr. Trump.
When Obama won, the Republicans openly stated that they would make Obama a one term government and they themselves refused to meet with him or govern. You seem to forget al the crazy costumes the Tea Party wore in all their protest. Or the birther movement. He is a muslim.
The best, or worst with Pence, might be Trump pulling a Palin and resigning when he gets bored, after about six weeks?? As we discovered from folks all around the world while traveling in New Zealand, “W” was a national embarrassment. Trump is seen not just as an embarrassment to the electorate, but a very REAL threat to world peace, environments, and indeed species survival, ours as well as all the lesser critters, plants, and their support systems like soil, air, and water.
Said John Locke, “When we lost, you told us to suck it up and quit being so nasty to our newly elected Black President. Now that you’ve lost you should take your own advice, suck it up, and quit being so nasty to our newly elected President.”
Obama ran positive-toned campaigns. He was treated very poorly from the get-go. Mr. Trump ran a very negative campaign. So now progressives should respond by giving in to Trump’s radical policies? Are progressives to treat him respectfully, when he treats progressives (and just about everyone else) with little or no respect?
You people and your name calling. You’re all so wrapped up in labels, we’re getting crushed. Trump gets elected and the cons think they’ve won? They still think he’s the hero? And you liberals, you think Trump is the problem? There is no democracy left in America and yet we’re all busy watching the real criminals, the political parties, play games with our heads.

It was inevitable. Maybe Trump’s adeptness at making money will enrich our coffers and reduce the National Debt.m don’t count on it, though.
