It’s nothing more than a chest-thumping distraction; bread & circuses. The Supremes have ruled repeatedly that flag-burning as a form of protest is protected speech. Even Herr Trump’s “favorite Justice”, Antonin Scalia, said so. And they ruled in 1958 that stripping someone of their citizenship was unconstitutional. So he tosses some red meat to the pack while he works to dismantle the social safety net, health care, environmental protection and the rest.
Ironic that burning the flag, long since examined & agreed to be protected free speech creates such a hue & cry but actual violations such as wearing the flag as an article of clothing is passe & accepted.
And you should get down on your knees and thank whatever god you believe in that you live in a country where you might burn its flag as a valid form of protest.
Trump will continue to drop little bits of fresh meat to keep his angry base riled up. All while packing the courts with people who will make sure the Second Amendment will be first.
Our best hope is that House and Senate Repulicans will wake up to reality, and do the likely, which is to impeach Trump and Pence for their promised actions, within 90 days. And yet we still must cringe at the thought of any potential House Speaker we may end up with!

@Tom, I sincerely hope you’re happy with the recent acquisition the republican party got for us to be the next President of the U S A, I cringe to think that within two years we better succumb to the whims of a womanizer (Yes, I know another one) and a man/child mentality ingrained into a seventy years old misogynistic psychopath, or be prepared to be listed into one of the many “Registry” lists that could become the new norm !" .And don’t say people weren’t warned of the great damages that this is going to cause to humankind in general, Sorry to sound pessimistic, But I see it as being realistic
