Could someone from Singapore or nearby please explain the symbolism here?

It’s Chesuok (Korean moon festival). During autumn, countries like China, S. Korea, N. Korea, Japan and other Asian countries would celebrate the moon festival. They’re holding lanterns, which is typical during the moon festival and Kim Jong il is the moon. I guess the one holding the dove lantern is Bam Ki Moon.

Thank you, noctambule. I’m now a small bit more informed about Asian culture. Thanks for enriching my day.

I believe the person holding the dove lantern is President Lee Myung-Bak. Otherwise I agree.
