The smartest thing the Native Americans could have done was massacre the European invaders/“colonists” right on the beaches.

They were INVADERS in already-settled lands, and brought with them pandemic European diseases that decimated the Native Americans. The best thing that could have happened to this continent would have been for the Mayflower to have sunk in mid-Atlantic.
